THE INTENTION IN THE DETAILS

Balance

A welcoming centre.

Gather around something substantial.

The dark timber table anchors a lighter room. Its rounded ends soften the long form, while the sculptural bases make it feel considered from more than one viewpoint.

WHEN IT BECOMES YOUR HOME

Choose the table around your usual number of guests, legroom and the space available when chairs are in use.

THE DESIGN INTENT

Make space for connection.

A dining space built around togetherness. The space brings together a welcoming centre, with sculptural furniture and soft light that allow the room to feel considered without feeling formal.

The table is the centre of gravity. Upholstered seating softens its strong form, and a generous pendant holds the composition together. A restrained background leaves the texture of the timber and the shape of each piece in focus.

FROM A FEELING TO EVERYDAY LIFE

Beautiful in a picture.
Considered for living.

01

Comfort before the photograph

Chair height, support and space for legs need to work with the table. Upholstery and finishes should suit the meals, spills and everyday use the room will see.

02

Light for a long evening

The pendant is a visual anchor. Its eventual height, brightness and diffusion would be tested for clear sightlines and comfortable faces across the table, with background light for the rest of the room.

03

Room for real gatherings

The final layout would allow chairs to pull out and people to pass behind them. Rug size, pile and upkeep would be considered together so the chairs can move easily.
